After having read some of the reviews from people saying they thought the product was dangerous I was a little worried. At first I went slowly and was cautious to hold the product at the prescribed right-angle and to only use it upwards. However, as I progressed and no cuts appeared, I became more confident and after just a few uses I am now attacking my stubble guns a-blazing with no worries. I do find that you can't stick to the advice of only using up upwards as hair grows in many directions... for an even finish I went against the grain of the hair.
The product itself seems sturdy and well built. The electronic length adjustment is very snazzy and works great. I especially like the fact that the length guard is secured in place and therefore doesn't slip and adjust the length setting if you press too hard... this helps avoid unfortunate patterns in stubble or other places. I know someone who shaved half their eyebrow off accidentally using another make/model when the guard slipped down a couple of notches!
